Receiving Your {Divine} Self with Love

May All Beings Awaken to the Light of their True Nature.

May All Beings Awaken to the Light of their True Nature πŸ™πŸ» As humans, we spend a good deal of mental energy worrying about how we will be perceived.βž• It's only been in the past year or so that have I begun sharing more images of myself on IG, thanks to some super magical photographers. πŸ™πŸ» But guess what? As humans, we spend a good deal of mental energy worrying about how we will be perceived. It's only been in the past year or so that have I begun sharing more images of myself on Instagram, thanks to some super magical photographers.  But guess what? I actually still feel vulnerable AF sharing my pics MOST days.

Although I've made it my life-long purpose to help people receive themselves in a kind, gentle, generous way, I still struggle to do that myself sometimes.  I'm serious.  In this last photo sesh I had with Arnel Hasanovic, I looked over his shoulder at the pics and said "I don't look very approachable in some of these... I look like The Hulk. I don't look relatable... I don't want to scare people off...  I don't want people to think I'm ______"

Listen: I'm not complaining about my body.

This was my 'fear of NOT being received and accepted' voice screaming. Arnel laughed and said, "Lillian, you are never going to be The Girl Next door. If you want to look more approachable, stop working out (etc) and doing all the other things you do that make you different from other 'fashion-y accounts!' This *points at camera* is who you are."  I laughed, too, because  he was feeding me my own message of self-acceptance. He's right.

This is who I am.

We ALL want to be received with love. Imagine if all the energy we spent wanting acceptance from others was flipped and directed inward.  Whatwould it look like to be focused more on our relationship with ourselves (example: how do I feel about ME *not how do THEY feel about me?*) and less about worrying how we would be received?

Here are some universal characteristics to describe who and what you are when you go down the path of "but what if I'm not _____ enough"

You are divine.
You are infinite.
You are all of nature's elements combined.
You are greatness.
You are strength.
You are love and you are loved.
